Klaro joins the “Local Thread” event as part of Perth Design Week
Perth Design Week gave us a reason to head west — and The Local Thread, hosted by our WA dealer Castledex, made it worth the trip.
The one-day event brought together a cross-section of Australian design — studios, manufacturers, and thinkers — to explore the intersections of local production and sustainability. We joined the lineup alongside Acustico Lighting and Sustainable Living Fabrics to contribute our perspective on material honesty and circular design.
On show: the SUMMERDAY chair. With a mild steel frame that moves with you and seat elements pressed from post-consumer HDPE, it’s a piece built from what already exists. Every backrest and seat panel carries its own unique colour swirls — unpredictable, non-replicable, and entirely deliberate.
Thanks to the Castledex team and everyone who came through. We’re glad to be part of the WA design conversation — and excited to keep it going.
